Ember II

From the 'Span' series, this handwoven tapestry arises through an intuitive engagement with natural animal fibres, primarily wool and mohair. Each piece unfolds through the slow rhythm of weaving, allowing material, hand, and process to remain closely connected. Working abstractly and within a limited colour palette, these works subtly reference the landscapes from which the fibres originate, embodying the relationship between land, the body, and the fibre while resonating a very specific a frequency which conveys feeling, and resonance.
