After Anni I

In honor of the legacy of textiles, pieced and woven together using materials which embody the memory of the hand, the body, and all of those who came before, this series takes the relationship beyond the restriction of the medium. Freed from the matrix of woven cloth, this painting is a mediation on colour, on relationship and the possibility of freedom, movement and expansion both beyond, and contained by form.
