Press Feature: House & Leisure "Embrace," Textures of Culture

I'm honoured to be featured in House & Leisure's Volume 18, "Embrace," as part of Textures of Culture, a piece exploring artists and makers who work with cloth to hold memory, heritage and care.

In the feature, I spoke about weaving, stitching and piecing by hand as a "deeply embodied" process, and about textile as a trace of human labour, consumption and disposal, natural fibre, textile waste and vintage material, rewoven into new stories.

It's a privilege to be featured alongside GUGUBYGUGU, Callie Quilts, The Mill, Igshaan Adams, the Keiskamma Art Project and so many more, all doing extraordinary work with textile and story.

Special thanks to Nabeela Karim for the inclusion
