Greydawn Scape
Greydawn Scape is an original artwork handwoven by Leila Walter of Leila Atelier using locally sourced and vintage fibres
The Scape series approaches the creation of the textile, line by line as a journey through a landscape. Memories of long roads, wide vistas and upright figures far in the distances: Traversing the land as one meanders through the cloth. The textile serves always as a temporal body, a space which is both constructed and consumed slowly. The eye can disappear into another world while slowly following the lines of the textile, serving both as image and window, out to the world, into oneself.
