In June I packed up what felt like my entire studio (it was in fact directly equivalent to the full interior of a Honda jazz), strapped a display shelf to my roof racks and hit the road on a fun adventure to join the Kamers/Makers team up in Johannesburg.
It was an incredibly cold winter, especially in our marquees set up atop the Sandton Convention Centre in mid June. But what a wonderful experience it was, to connect with old friends, the familiar faces from the team & a whole new community of customers, textile lovers and like minded souls.
It was a much lighter journey down hill on the way back south in an empty car but very full heart & spirit.
My immense gratitude to all those who supported, sheltered and connected.
